Calgary Ultimate Association

This past weekend I had the opportunity (thanks to the Calgary Photographic Group) to shoot (that is to photograph) the Calgary Ultimate Association playing some ultimate frisbee.

This was my first time shooting sports of any kind…to be honest I havn’t been taking shots of anything moving.

Ghost towns don’t move much.

On top of that I just bought a new camera, the Canon 50D (thank you God) and was adjusting to some of the tactile changes.

All in all I snapped off about 350 shots (many of which rapid fire) and came out with five good ones.

If I’m lucky, they’ll use one or two in their advertising next spring :) I did shoot along side a lot of great photographers though, so tough call.
